This could have been A REAL DISASTER. When public paranoia takes over it’s even worse. So I have to ask why Global TV was urging people to rush out and get vaccinated when there are vaccine shortages. So that results in long lineups and confusion. Doesn’t the media co-ordinate with the health unit. If this had been a more serious flu strain people would have been running around in a panic. To split the non-agivant / agivant vaccine types was an obvious mistake but you know what they say about hindsight. I can’t blame them so much for that but the decision to only order vaccine from just ONE supplier (Glaxo) was a mistake. You never put all you eggs in one basket, Who’s idot that made decision. In Canada our disaster preparedness is marginal to say the very least. I think I am being generous when I say that too. With doctor shortages and nurse shortages, long lineups allready. If anything that remotely resembled a real emergency happened today I would hate to think what would happen. http://www.fakeactionplan.com
